Missing bushwalker found near Townsville

Police and Emergency Services Queensland (EMQ) personnel have located a bushwalker who was reported missing around 8pm Sunday night. The 44-year-old man was spotted by the EMQ Rescue Helicopter around 7am. The man was suffering from hyperthermia and was taken to Townsville hospital for treatment. He had set off for a walk to a waterfall in the Bowling Green Bay National Park (about 30km south of Townsville) yesterday afternoon, and the alarm was raised when he failed to return to the Alligator Creek Campgrounds. He was found on the track near to the waterfalls.
