Emergency service personnel rescued a man who fell approximately 10 metres down an embankment at Love Creek Falls, near Mt Glorious this afternoon. The 26-year-old Tarragindi man was walking on the Maiala Walking Track when it is believed he slipped and fell around 2pm. The man’s bushwalking partner alerted emergency services. Rescue workers hiked for over an hour through heavy rainforest and hilly terrain, traveling through waist deep water and over a rock face to reach the man. The man, who sustained head and leg injuries, was stablised at the scene by a doctor and QAS officers. He was then carried by rescue workers to a clearing and winched aboard the Careflight helicopter and transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.
